Pregnancy

We midwives can empathise best with your situation and accompany you through a harmonious pregnancy.

Pregnancy care

We midwives can empathise best with your situation as an expectant mother and can give you tips and advice for a harmonious course of pregnancy.

Antenatal check-ups

Regular external checks of the growth of the uterus; together we feel for the position of the baby; the baby's heartbeat is monitored by Pinard horn, hand-held Doppler and CTG (for twins); blood and urine tests are checked, and, if necessary, the maturation of the cervix.

A detailed conversation between woman and midwife is at the heart of every check-up.

To support you well through your pregnancy, I offer advice on all questions that may arise during pregnancy, for example nutrition, partnership, birth preparation and much more.

Check-ups can take place at your home or at the midwifery practice, as you prefer.

Help with pregnancy discomfort

Various complaints can occur during your pregnancy, for example nausea, water retention or back pain. I am glad to support you with my expertise, natural remedies, acupuncture and tips on nutrition and exercise. I also take enough time to talk.

Breech presentation

Even in the early weeks of pregnancy, a small Qi Gong ball or a little bell can be worn at pubic bone level or in a trouser pocket. Starting with a torch at the baby's head, shine the light over the back down to the pubic bone and let it rest there: this can be a gentle way to encourage a baby to turn.

From week 34 of pregnancy, please contact me for further measures.
